Progress Motors was established in 1968 as a family business originating from mechanical repairs, street, speedway and high performance parts and accessories.

In 1985, the modern showroom and workshop was relocated to where it is today in Stuart Park, less than 5 minites from Darwin CBD.

It was then that the future of the business was solely on trailers and trailer parts. Promotor Trailers became a registered name in 1993.
